We are looking for experienced and passionate Social Workers to join a dedicated Children in Care Team.  As part of this Children in Care for Children Service have a passion for making a difference to our children.. You will you will be working in a busy and supportive team who assess and work with children and families and intervene where children need support to provide more children with help at an earlier stage. Working in accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, informed by the values and principles of social care; you will be supporting in the delivery of person centred, safe and effective social care services. Using your professional knowledge and experience you’ll make assessments and decisions about the most appropriate interventions. Applying your significant Social Work experience and excellent communication skills you’ll establish and maintain relationships with service users and other agencies to ensure services meet identified needs. This role includes a capped caseload of 18, a supportive manager,  home working and time dedicated to working within the local authority.

Experienced  Adults social worker –  will provide and support expert and effective social work practice in complex situations, assessing and managing high levels of risk and providing expert opinion in relation to decisions surrounding complex cases.

Planning Officer, Conwy  
Pay – £32.37ph  
 
Maternity Cover 9-12 months depending on employee return date We offer hybrid working but Ideally we need candidates to attend our offices once or twice a week but this can be discussed further at interview. Attendance at Planning Committee and Committee site visits which takes place once a month will be required. The post holder will be dealing with major and complex planning applications as well as line managing a team of Planning Officers. The main responsibilities of the post include: • Processing complex and varied planning applications, including the preparation of case officer/committee reports. • working to deadlines • Providing professional pre-application advice to the public, members and developers via our pre-application advice service and daily duty officer phone line. • Presenting applications at Planning Committee meetings • To provide appropriate guidance to team members to enable them to be able to undertake their work in a professional and efficient manner. • To be able to monitor performance within the team Candidates should have a Degree or equivalent in Town and Planning or a related discipline, be a member of the RTPI and have extensive working knowledge and experience of development management processes
