Residential Support Worker – Grimsby area 
Hourly pay – up to £25 per hour depending on experience 
Pertemps Professional Recruitment are currently recruiting in the Grimsby area to recruit a team of children’s residential support / childcare workers to provide 2:1 support for a young person in a residential setting  
 Purpose of the Post 

  • To support a young person in their residential placement 
  • To attend to their practical, physical and emotional needs.  
  • To act as an appropriate role model and to work closely with them to enable them to address their difficulties and achieve their optimum potential. 
We are seeking practitioners who are able to provide a positive support and impact to the young person.  To interact with them, play games, teach them to cook, clean and ensure they and their home are generally well looked after 
 To maintain a high quality of care and support which meets the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of the young person. 
Establishing positive relationships with young people and always offering them unconditional and positive regard. 
Providing advice, assistance and support on a 1:1 basis to enable the young person to address past and present difficulties 
 Keeping accurate records and providing written reports on young people for planning meetings, reviews or any other meetings as directed by the line manager 
 General Responsibilities 
This post requires the holder to do varying shifts, which include early morning and late evening work, sleep-in and an on call rota system. The post holder also is required to work weekends as part of a rota and Bank 
 Paying up to £25 per hour depending on experience 
 
You will need to have experience of doing this kind of work, and ideally be qualified to NVQ level3. 
The role would also suit a newly qualified social worker, looking to take on paid experience.
