SEND in local authorities

SEND in local authorities

The Children and Families Act 2014 aims to ensure that local authorities place children, young people and families at the centre of decision making, enable them to participate in a fully informed way, and achieve the best possible outcomes.

Because local authorities are responsible for all children and young people with SEN in their area there are implications for the commissioning of services and for the assessment of individual children and young people.

Sourcing and securing the ideal candidates in the field of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) can be a significant challenge for local authorities.

It has been a pleasure to work with Pertemps. The consultants show an unusual level of professionalism and are always willing to push that bit further to provide the right candidate for my team.
